Six Lives Below

Weekly dungeon rotation: Pit of Heresy, Prophecy, Warlord's Ruin · Fireteam of 3 · About 60 min

A Nightfall-grade ruleset for dungeons. Six shared lives, no health regen without orbs, a twelve-minute clock on every encounter and a weapon lock that changes each week. Clear it or crawl back to orbit with a number to beat.

Mechanics

  • 01Shared pool: six lives for the whole fireteam. A death costs one, a full wipe costs three. At zero the run ends and the code records how deep you got and how long it took.
  • 02Encounter clock: twelve minutes per encounter, starting on the first kill so setup is free. If it expires, the encounter resets and costs one life from the pool.
  • 03Weekly lock: the code fixes primary and special slots to one archetype each (week one: sidearm and fusion rifle). Anything else does zero damage until you swap back.

Phases

  1. 1

    Load the Code

The fireteam leader pastes the shareable code in orbit. Loadout locks apply on launch and the life counter appears on the HUD; the dungeon's own loot is untouched.

  2. 2

    Opening Encounter

The host dungeon's first fight under the clock. Setup is free until the first kill, then twelve minutes. With no passive regen, orbs are the only heals, so kill chains matter.

  3. 3

    Traversal

Jumping sections count. A fall costs a life like any death, so the run rewards patient movement over speed. The clock is paused outside encounters.

  4. 4

    Final Boss

The boss gets +50% health and cannot be staggered. Damage windows are the dungeon's own, so the weekly lock decides whether you burst or sustain.

  5. 5

    Ledger

Completion posts time, lives left and the weekly lock to the code's community board. Fastest clear with the most lives sets the week's mark.

Why it works in Destiny

Dungeons already have clean encounter boundaries and checkpoints, so a life pool and per-encounter clocks bolt on without touching a single room. Every knob here is a global modifier of the kind Nightfalls already use, which is exactly what a Level 1 rule code exposes. It gives dungeon players the weekly rotating challenge that strikes have had for years.
